Family Leadership Coaching for Parents

For Noa* and Josh*, everything was perfect… on paper, anyway.

They liked their jobs, and they were good at them.

And to the outside world, their kids were perfect. Their 15-year-old was a gifted dancer and did well in school, and their 11-year-old was liked by everyone and had lots of friends.

But everything wasn’t perfect.

Noa and Josh were exhausted, confused, and frustrated.

Their girls never listened to them, and they fought with each other all the time.

And between dance, sports, and other activities, they never had any time for each other. And in the fleeting moments where they were able to connect, they were too tired to make it happen.

They tried everything…

They did parental coaching…

They asked their parents for advice…

They sought opinions from friends…

Some of the advice worked, but it was usually temporary – either because it didn’t address the core issues or because they weren’t consistent in their approach.

Does this sound familiar? Do you know what it’s like?

You probably do because you want more than anything for your children to love, respect, and listen to you.

But like many parents, you struggle with creating harmony and balance at home.

That’s why I’ve developed a family leadership course offering you a new perspective – one that takes everything and everyone involved into consideration.

What does family leadership mean?

My approach views your family as a team, and you, the parents, are the team leaders. And to “win,” you have to cooperate, communicate, and lead your team effectively.

A big part of your leadership role will be modeling the behaviors you expect from your team. That’s how you’ll gain power in your family and earn your children’s respect.

And the beauty of it all is that you’ll be taking into consideration your children’s feelings, opinions, and decisions as you lead the team.

This is why I created my own program for families…

The program has the “Balansa Method” and “Agile at Home” at its heart. You can read all about how these methods are a part of my approach, but here’s the gist…

This family leadership course borrows from project management approaches in the business world. We’ll use those principles to help you become a SUPPORTIVE LEADER whom your children want to listen to and follow.

You’ll learn to collaborate with your team members.

You’ll be able to encourage your team members to work together toward common goals.

You’ll form connections with other people and institutions outside your family (e.g., schools, clinics, banks, educational programs, and so on) for a solid support network.

You’ll be able to communicate clearly and with transparency.

Here’s more about what it looks like…

The unique combination of the Balansa Method and Agile at Home will give you a deep understanding of what it means to lead your family by example.

It’s an eight-week program that includes a weekly one-hour group session, videos, written assignments, home practices, and a 30-minute private session with me. I strongly encourage both parents to participate.

We’ll use somatic movement to get a clear understanding of your family’s dynamics – how members communicate inside and outside the family, establish and maintain individual and family boundaries, and make decisions.

When you practice these skills regularly…

Your family will react to changes with stability and confidence, making decisions as a family without blaming and fighting.

You will be able to support your family as you secure your needs and pursue your goals together.

You will come out on the other side feeling confident in your parenting, in your path, and in your ability to lead your family with compassion, agility, and flexibility.
