Online Sessions

Get the power of the Balansa Method and Agile at home wherever you are!

There are SO many advantages to working together online…

Get rid of the travel! You don’t have to think about how long it takes to get to and from, and you don’t have to shell out money for gas, parking, and maintenance on your vehicle!

It makes scheduling easier, too. When you don’t have to worry about commuting and childcare, you can work in sessions more easily in your busy life.

Plus, home is more comfortable. Many people feel safer, more confident, relaxed, and open to the process when they’re at home.

And when you’re at home, I get to connect with you in your natural environment. I get a better idea of what your day-to-day life looks like.

Finally, if you’re doing a group with me, you get the benefit of having members from all over the world. I’m a big fan of multicultural exchanges because they give you new perspectives.

But is it as good as meeting in person?

When online therapy is performed well, taking the available tools into consideration, it is just as effective as in-person therapy and has its benefits.

The Balansa online program is designed to take advantage of where you are and the fact that we are communicating over the Internet to enjoy the benefits of online communication.

Here are a few of the advantages…

With your permission, I will record the sessions and send them to you. Depending on your wishes, I can record the whole session so you can follow up. With my guidance, you can observe patterns on video and learn about it (will not happen at the beginning – only later on). We can also record only the coaching portions of the sessions so you can hear the exercise again and repeat them as many times as you want, forever.

I can share my screen with you, which helps clarify things.

If you choose to work in groups, there is usually a greater diversity of clients from different places. I realized that this gives the process a significant advantage by clients offering different perspectives, different types of communication, and different priorities related to where they are coming from.

I noticed that many clients find it easier to open up and relay commitment to the process when they have the safety and distance that the online work offers them.

There are more advantages for me as a movement analyst that help me observe through the screen. It gives me a different perspective than the one in person.

Make the most of your online experience…

By enjoying an online experience, you save yourself the travel time and the travel itself. But you do have to commit and make arrangements.

You need to have a good Internet connection, and it is better to use a computer or a tablet; a phone screen is too small.

You must have a quiet and PRIVATE environment. Family members cannot walk in and out, especially not if you’re a part of a group process, where members’ privacy MUST be respected (you will sign an agreement to protect members’ privacy).

Your device’s camera must be on. As a movement analyst, a big part of my ability to help you is by watching you.

I suggest always preparing for the meetings a few minutes before. Since you will not drive to the clinic, walk in the door, sign in your name, and wait for me to call you, plan your preparation. Check your computer, remind everyone not to disturb you, get a glass of water, your notebook, pen, and printed notes, check the temperature in the room, and make sure that you are comfortable and ready.

Are you ready to take that first step?

I’m here to support you, guide and empower you from your first call until you achieve your goal. Always judgment-free, with empathy and compassion.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Come on… you don’t even have to leave your home!
